Biography

Dr. Wilman Iglesias is a forensic economist with Vocational Economics, Inc. (VEI). He specializes in providing forensic analyses and testimony related to earning capacity loss due to total disability, death, or employment-related matters. His expertise extends to providing detailed pension analyses, economic evaluations of life care plans, and household services analysis.

He received a Master of Science degree and a doctorate in Applied Economics from the University of Viçosa, Brazil, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Atlántico in Colombia, earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Prior to joining VEI in 2023, Dr. Iglesias was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Arkansas and a graduate research and teaching assistant at the University of Nebraska, where he received prestigious awards and recognition for high merit and exceptional research contributions. He has also been recognized with a Research Award by the Brazilian Econometric Society. Notably, Dr. Iglesias is trilingual or fully fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Dr. Iglesias has published his research in high-impact, refereed economics journals and has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences, academic institutions, and professional gatherings. He has taught undergraduates and graduates in the United States, Brazil, and Colombia. He has also been a member of graduate committees and a reviewer of professional publications and presentations for journals and professional meetings.
