Biography

Dr. Wilman Iglesias is an economist with Vocational Economics, Inc. (VEI). He received an MS and a doctorate in Applied Economics from the University of Viçosa, Brazil, and a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Prior to joining VEI in 2023, Dr. Iglesias was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Arkansas and a graduate research and teaching assistant at the University of Nebraska, where he received prestigious awards and recognition for high merit and exceptional research contributions. He has also been recognized with a Research Award by the Brazilian Econometric Society.

Dr. Iglesias has published his research in high-impact refereed economics journals and has made numerous presentations at national and international conferences, academic institutions, and professional gatherings. He has taught undergraduates and graduates in the United States, Brazil, and Colombia. He has also been a member of MS committees and a reviewer of professional publications and presentations for journals and professional meetings. Notably, Dr. Iglesias is trilingual, with English being his third language, after Spanish and Portuguese.

At VEI, Dr. Iglesias’s economics expertise is used to provide forensic economic testimony and assessments. He specializes in evaluating future health and medical care costs and loss of earning capacity in cases involving personal injury, death, and employment-related matters.
