Biography
Gerald Casenave, Ph.D. completed his doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in Dallas in 1990, and he had received a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University in 1977. In addition, he has completed specialized postgraduate study in economics through the University of Nevada and Vocational Economics, Inc. His postgraduate study focuses on the economic consequences of disability.
Dr. Casenave has over twenty years of practical experience and teaching experience in the area of vocational rehabilitation. He currently serves as the regional consultant for the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, previously TRC, for the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex, serves as a psychologist at Global Rehab, Texas Specialty Hospital, and UT Southwestern University Hospitals, and teaches medical ethics at UTSWMC in Dallas. He is board certified by the College of Forensic Examiners. His expertise encompasses assessment of the effects of disability on employability, career counseling, and the occupational placement of persons with a disability.
